Home delivered orchid stems?
I’m just wondering if anyone out there has had any success with having orchid stems delivered to your house and could recommend someone.
I’m in the UK and want them for my wedding bouquet (for someone to then arrange them) but I am worried about the reliability of them because I don’t want to be doing a last minute run to Tesco’s for some flowers the day before my wedding!
Cutting Orchid Stem….?
Where exactly were you suppose to cut after it stops flowering?…..
Ochid has dropped all of the flowers…. and now i have a stem which is quite long…. reading from what people say … .”Cut the stem” but exactly where from?… and is it the stem of the flower stick (or shall i call this stem)…or is it the plant it self?….
is the cut from bottom or top?…
Finally… how long will it take to flower again…. and how do i keep it!
help with caring for an orchid?
I have had my orchid since August, the original flowers have now dropped off, and lower down the plant it has new shoots and buds as well as new leaves.
Do I cut off the original flower stems which are higher up the plant, if so where would I cut them down to?
The plant is still in the pot I was given it in, do I need to transfer it to a bigger pot, or is it ok to leave it as it is?
Thanks!
how do i save my orchid?
i have a lovely orchid which usually never ceases to flower however for some reason the stem has gone dead but the leaves are still green, what do i do? will a new stem grow if i cut it off? or shold i pull it out which will prove difficult?

How do you care for an orchid?
I have several orchids as I find them beautiful but wondering should I cut them back when they’ve finished flowering or just leave them to rebud again, as one of mine is already doing after I thought it had died? Also, Is it preferable to leave them in transparent tubs and why is this?
My indoor potted orchid has finished flowering?
It is now just a dry stem with what looks like some new buds coming on the top. I heard somewere to cut the stem down after flowering but I’m afraid to as it will cut off the new buds. What should I do?
What should I do with my Orchid now it’s flowers have dropped off?
I have an orchid (one of those ones with the two long stems which flower) Similar to this: http://www.arenaflowers.com/product_image/large/2047-white_orchid.jpg but not white and with a few less flowers!
The flowers fell off this week and the stems which the flowers were on have now turned brown.
a) What do I do with these stems? How far back do I cut them?
b) Where will it rebloom next time? How will I recognise the new stem?
c) What do I do with the new stem.
You can tell I’m not very good at this. The Orchid was bought as a present and this is the first time I’ve not killed it instantly LOL
Thanks!
My orchid flower has now dropped, I’m left with “flower stem” going brown. Should it be cut off or left.?
Plus any other general advise
I have an orchid in my bathroom and wonder how best to look after it.?
It still has its flowers on the stem and a few small buds on the top. I heard someone say on the radio that you should cut them down now, even if there are still flowers on it. Is this true or not. Any information on care/maintenance would be welcome as I really want this lovely plant to survive.
How do I revive a dying orchid?
I moved out of my old house where it was doing fine and when I brought it to my new house, the flowers wilted, leaves fell off, and stem turned brown/black…I cut off the stems and it was hollow inside except at the base. I think my dad and I didn’t communicate when we watered it so it might be an overwatering issue. The roots are still green/yellow and firm so I have a slight amount of hope. How do I save it?! Oh, and it’s a phalenopsis or however you spell it.
