What can i put in a vase other than flowers for my mantel piece?

I have two glass cube vases on either end of my mantel piece. I always have fresh cut flowers in them but it’s getting too expensive replacing them all the time.
i’m not a fan of dried flowers anything else i could put in them for an arty modern look?
