		<description>I planted one two years ago and left the flowers when they wilted. The following spring i had to cut them off. Last year I cut off the dead flowers and the bush seemed to get a second &quot;wind&quot; of flowers. So I suppose cutting off the flowers is the best thing to do. But I am not a qualified gardener, just learnt this from trial and error.</description>

		<description>you should nip them off at the base if only to keep the plant looking neat. Having said that, I always leave mine on and find that I&#039;m having to remove the dried stems when the plant wakens after its winter&#039;s sleep.</description>
